The idea of starting my own blog (after months of blog-stalking) has intrigued me for some time. I enjoy writing and find it a great way to organize and express my thoughts. However, to every endeavor there must be a purpose, however small. Having a blog seemed a great opportunity to combine writing with another of my passions: reading.
I wish that I had had the foresight to in some way make a record of the books I have read, or at least the ones that affected me most. That would be an interesting catalogue to refer back to since I usually read 3-4 books a week, and have been doing so for years. That being said, there is no time like the present to begin, so I decided to make this a mostly a book review blog, with a few personal things thrown in here and there. I like to cook and knit and enjoy the outdoors, among other things, so I may review things related to those pastimes as well.
